"Heroes" is the latest series to capitalize on the idea of "real world superheroes". Around the world,
ordinary people discover that they have unexpected abilities, and this brings them unexpected
benefits and consequences. How did this come to pass, and how will these individuals deal with the
moral implications? Those questions drove "Heroes" to its highly successful first season. Since then,
the series has struggled to find a new direction. Nearly everyone believes that the fourth season will
be vital to the series' future.
