Shaun Cassidy first emerged on the genre scene with the cult classic "American Gothic". The highlight
of that series was the character of Sheriff Buck, a man who would do anything to "protect" his town.
"Invasion" had many of the same strong elements, especially in the character of Sheriff Underlay, a
complex man with unusual goals and history. With a strong underlying theme of family, the series
continued to impress on a number of levels. Unfortunately, it didn't impress enough people before the
end, and the series was prematurely cancelled.
